Raphael

Archangel Raphael is one of the three archangels named in the biblical Scriptures, along with Michael and Gabriel. His story is primarily recounted in the Book of Tobit (Old Testament), where he appears in the guise of Azariah, a traveling companion, to guide young Tobias. He helps Tobias heal his father Tobit's blindness and free Sarah, Tobias's future wife, from a demon. His Hebrew name, 'Rapha'el', means 'God heals' or 'God has healed', reflecting his role as a healer and protector. He is venerated as the patron saint of travelers, healers, the blind, happy meetings, and nurses. His feast day is celebrated on September 29th with Archangels Michael and Gabriel.
