Gabinus of Rome
A Roman priest and martyr, was the brother of Pope Caius and the father of Saint Susanna. He was beheaded for his Christian faith under Emperor Diocletian.

Saint Gabinus of Rome is venerated as a Christian priest and martyr of the 3rd century. Connected to significant ecclesiastical and imperial figures, he was the brother of Pope Caius and the father of Saint Susanna, whose purity and refusal of a pagan marriage are renowned. A cousin of Emperor Diocletian, he was condemned to death for refusing to apostatize and worship pagan idols. His sentence was decapitation, and his body, thrown into the Tiber, was later recovered and buried by Christians in the Cemetery of Thrason on the Via Salaria in Rome. His feast day is celebrated on February 19.
