Saint Claude La Colombière was a Jesuit priest renowned for his holiness, eloquence, and crucial role in spreading devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. As confessor to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque in Paray-le-Monial, he recognized the authenticity of her visions and supported her mission. He also served as a missionary in England, where he endured persecution before returning to France to die. His writings and sermons continue to inspire many faithful.
