Saint Habib of Edessa was a zealous deacon and an active preacher in the early 4th century. Recognized for his devotion, he was arrested during the persecutions of Emperor Licinius. Despite terrible tortures and attempts to make him abjure his faith, he refused to deny Christ and was finally burned alive in 320 AD. His martyrdom is a powerful testament to his faithfulness and spiritual strength in the face of persecution.
